After “no rules” vacations it’s always hard to get back to school, schedules and assignments. We have put together seven tips we think can help you to get back on track.
- Get rid of last semester’s things
What type of things shall you get rid of?
You can throw away anything that isn’t useful anymore, starting from the things in your backpack and on your desk, moving on to your computer desktop, downloads folder and PDF’s to help you be ready for the new semester with everything clean and fresh.
- Adjust a new schedule
We know it’s hard to get back into the routine after the vacation.
But Setting up a schedule will help you get back to it. How so?
Start by having a plan. Set a few short-term and long-term goals that will help you stay focused and motivated when things get tough.
Also write down your study time and sleeping hours, and don’t forget to schedule some free time for yourself.
- Get involved more around Campus
The first week of the semester is the perfect time to connect with your new groups.
Go ahead and start looking for opportunities on campus such as Volunteering and internships.
You can also keep an eye on our Facebook page for more Opportunities around the Campus.
- Say Hi to your Professors
A great way to prepare for a new semester in college is to get to know your professors as soon as possible.
If your CIC class schedule doesn’t have your professors’ names, Head to your advisor and ask him/her about the names and the rooms of your professors.
- Check your CIC Email regularly
Your main source of communication at campus is your student email, So make sure to check your email account regularly so that you don’t miss any important emails about your classes and general information about your campus.
Forget your Password? don’t worry, you can reset it through our IT department.
Making the extra effort to prepare for your first few weeks of school will help set a plan for a more productive and easy semester.
