We were honored to welcome the esteemed Canadian Ambassador,H.E Louis Dumas on a memorable visit yesterday.
The ambassador’s presence at the college served as a testament to the strengthening ties between Canada and Egypt, as well as the importance of educational collaboration in fostering international partnerships. During the visit, the Ambassador engaged with students, faculty, and staff, delivering an inspiring speech that highlighted the shared values and aspirations of both nations, He emphasized the significance of global cooperation in addressing pressing challenges.
The event commenced with a warm welcome from Professor Magdy elKady, who expressed gratitude for the ambassador’s visit and underscored the college’s commitment to promoting cross-cultural understanding and academic exchange. Following the welcoming remarks, the Ambassador toured the campus, interacting with students and gaining insights into the diverse educational programs offered at CIC.
He also praised the college’s dedication to providing students with a global perspective, enabling them to become future leaders and ambassadors for positive change. During a lively Q&A session, students had the opportunity to ask the ambassador about various topics, ranging from educational opportunities in Canada to bilateral trade and cultural exchange initiatives. The ambassador’s insightful responses left the audience inspired and eager to explore opportunities for collaboration and further cultural understanding between the two nations.
During the session one of our students opened a discussion with the Canadian ambassador about his opinion on what is happening in Palestine now, and he said “Humanity must prevail,” expressing his sadness as an Ambassadar and as a father as well.
The visit served as a reminder of the shared values and aspirations between Canada and Egypt, reinvigorating the college community’s commitment to furthering international cooperation and understanding, ultimately contributing to a brighter future for both nations.
