CIC has signed a cooperation protocol with the Environmental Writers and Development Association, attended by Dr. Amal El-Gazzawy, Dr. Magy El-Helwany, Dr. Nermeen El-Azraq, Dr. Walid Hamed, and Dr. Mohamed Habib, along with association representatives Hanan Badawy and Nagwa Tantawy.
The protocol aims to promote environmental awareness and train media students to address environmental issues. Dr. Magy El-Helwany emphasized CIC Media’s commitment to becoming a green educational institution by announcing a “Paperless University” and a “Smoke-Free University,” with plans to organize an Environmental Week in May.
Dr. Amal El-Gazzawy highlighted student projects tackling environmental issues, while Dr. Nermeen El-Azraq stressed the media’s role in simplifying environmental topics for the public. Dr. Mahmoud Bakr discussed the association’s efforts in spreading environmental awareness, training journalists, and organizing an annual competition.
Hanan Badawy emphasized the importance of youth and innovation in environmental projects, citing a university student’s award-winning project. Nagwa Tantawy proposed training students in environmental writing and news coverage through the association’s website.
